My Values

My Depth psychological orientation is used like a compass to inform us as to where to explore your inner landscape of self. Especially the parts of self that are unknown (unconscious) or unspoken about, hidden away in the shadows. I have learned with my intense trainings with Dr. Estes that storytelling is a vital part of healing and reclaiming ourselves through our ancestral wisdom. First we listen deeply to your story, which encompasses the people who arrived before you. We seek to learn this information as a way of knowing.  When we understand the layers of how you arrived here, in this moment as you are, then we process what parts of self are seeking to be seen/known/brought back to balance.

I value and deeply respect the process that it takes for each person to begin their internal journey. My experience working with clients has taught me that human beings have such a great potential for growth, capacity for transformation, and resiliency throughout one’s lifetime.

Other Ways I Show Up in Community

As a Clinical Supervisor at CCEC, Community Counseling & Education Center provides mental wellness services for the Santa Barbara community welcoming in children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Pre-licensed interns and associates provide accessible, affordable therapy as they grow in their skills while working with a Supervisor. I delight in being a part of the clinical team. It is an enriching experience to return 10 years later to the same community site where I started my journey to support developing clinicians.

Experience & Clinical Training

My clinical experience began over 10 years ago through community based, client-centered agencies. I have experience with children, teens, adults, couples, families, and groups from Community Counseling & Education Center. I had a unique opportunity to work for Mainstream, an Intensive Outpatient program through Crescend Health, where I worked with individuals with severe mood and thought disorders as well as co-facilitated groups that focused on symptom stabilization/reduction through behavior focused healthy living.  I gained additional experience running groups for the Boys & Girls club with a Girl’s Group ages 7-12 with the focus of developing self-esteem and self-regulation skills.
